Other selections are certainly considered. We ask you to bear in mind that your Wedding is a worship service and must be treated as such. Contemporary or popular songs may be considered only if the text is deemed appropriate. The text copy must, in it’s entirety, be presented 90 days prior to the Wedding date. One criteria used in determining the appropriateness is that the text is prayerfully respectful and is directed toward God, not toward each other. The simple presence of the word God in the text does not make the selection automatically acceptable.
