Due to the special Synod being held for the election of our new Bishop the Annual Lay Readers' Conference has been postponed at the end of Sept. It will be rescheduled for sometime in the Spring after Easter.It would be helpful if the clergy and fellow lay readers would please pass this message on to those who are not on email.

The study book for 2008-2009 will be “A Theology of Worship” by Louis Weil.  Barbara will  order the book.

Deanery Council Meeting

at the Ullswater Community Centre
hosted by
Ullswater/Bent River (Peter Simmons and "group")
Dinner will be served at 6:00pm (cost $8), followed by the meeting.

News from the January 15, 2008 meeting:

A new Regional Dean has been elected -- David Hardie, of Bala and Mactier. Please keep the Dean informed of any property developments, large or small, in your parish.

Three members have been selected for the Response Group and their names forwarded to the Bishop

Forthcoming programs and events:

• Youth Synod: events planned for Camp Manitou in the summer. More to come in February
• John Bowen will speak in October at All Saints. More details to follow.
